Menopause and Marriage: Navigating Changes in Attraction

Hi Bill,

I have been married for 22 years and am 47 years old.  My husband is 57 years old.  Our marriage has been good, some fights yes but we are still in this together.  Here is my question, will my husband find me less attractive once I have gone through menopause?  I married him young and I know that for him this was important. He is attracted to very young women, even now. I have problems with him liking my friends now because they are all my age.  Would you be able to comment on this?

Well hopefully he's worth more than that. Menopause effects everyone different, and somethimes not at all. The key is to know it's coming and to try not to take the swirl of emotions out on him. Try to keep whatever sexual schedule you have going, and he likely won't know the difference...
