Understanding When Your Husband Enjoys Attention on You

Question

I know most guys get jealous when other men look at their wives, but my husband of 25 years has always been the opposite.  My husband likes me to dress sexy when we go out--a low cut bodice showing clevage, a short skirt, high heels, etc. He says it turns him on when other men stare at me.  When I asked him why, he said that being with a beautiful and sexy woman gives him a feeling of pride.

I know it's normal for people to want to flaunt what they have and show off a bit at times, but this seems a little extreme. I'm really concerned about this. It doesn't seem normal to me.  What do you think?

Here's an example.

When we went out for dinner a few days ago, I wore a black dress with a low cut bodice. It kept creeping down and showing a bit more than I was comfortable with when we were sitting in the restaurant, and I was embarrassed and kept pulling it back up. He told me to stop.

I whispered: "There's a man, sitting over there, behind you, who keeps gawking at my boobs."

To this my husband said: "So. If you have it, flaunt it."

I was shocked. He didn't care, and I actually think he wanted this man to get a peek at my breasts.

Also, it makes me wonder how he's going to feel about me when I'm much older and no longer attract men's stares.  Will he then need a young, beautiful woman on his arm in order to feel good about himself?

Answer
Well a lot of thoughts come to mind, but let's face it 25 years is a bit of a success story in itself. Something is evidently working well. Although most men are thrilled at the spectacle of a scantilly dressed woman, (I know I am) a bit more to the imagination is nice too. Men see right through clothes anyway. As a 56 year old, I can tell you that some thing just as nice as a young beautiful woman, is an older beautiful woman, which I'm sure one day you will be. Remember a class act is a class act though, no matter the age. So cover up a bit more or let it slip a bit more, as YOU see fit, and to advantage...
