QuestionHi,
In movies and on TV, men invariably kneel when they propose.
I'm not certain, but I don't think I've known a single man who's done this.
Do you have any rough idea of what percentage of men do?
Many thanks,
Steve
AnswerDear Steve,
No. I truly do not know of an exact percentage, but I have known several men that have kneeled down on one knee. I also know that the number of men that propose on one knee has diminished drastically. It may have to do with status, age, generation gaps or a swarming due to the feminine movements. More women are doing the asking. This may be part of the reason. Since this is an old fashion tradition, there tend to be more people who use this technique if they are either older, carried on the traditions from the elders in the family and have not adapted to societal changes, or became wrapped up with the rush in today's world(everything is more high tech, easier to do, and speed oriented for convenience). This allows less time for romance since everyone tries to do something bigger and better. Also, our status levels have changed a great deal in the last several decades. Where it used to be all people in the US were either low income, blue and white collar workers; Now there are additional status levels due to a wider variety of steps on the economic ladder.
I know this went around your question. Hope this helped a tad bit, anyway.
Take care,
Kiya
