Rebuilding Your Marriage: Overcoming Challenges & Building a Stronger Connection

Question
My wife and I have been married for 15yrs.We seperated 2 yrs ago for issues that have affected our relationship all these yrs. I tend to raise my voice and very jealous of her. I'm conscious about spending money ( others will tell u I'm cheap). When we got back to together we discussed things and I told her I would change but what normally happens is I change for a few months and fall back into the rut of not treating her and the kids correctly. I have ADD and OCD, so my mind always wanders and I lose track and forget. I was taking Straterra when we seperated  and got off it because of funds. I have a lot of stress on myself because I don't know how many hrs I'll get to work each week, WE sent our kids to Sylvan (Coat of that) and a few other bills. She has has now come to me and wants a Divorce. I'm devestated. I thought things were working out, I know a few mths ago she told me she's unhappy. I should've gone back on my meds than but didn't. I told her I would get back on meds and make the changes needed. She says I sound sincere but can't trust me because we have done this so many times. She says she doesn't want to hurt me and she just wants to be happy. I sthere any way I can save this marriage? I told her I would sleep in tyhe basement and show her I can change. I also told her I would exhaust every means possible to save any more hurtfulness for this family. If that means divorce than that's what the future hold, but I'm not ready to have a broken family. I will do Anything to save this. PLease your opinion.

Answer
Jason,

There is no generic and simple / one time remedy answer that will either do a miracle regarding the self change that you want or save your marriage.

You indeed need individual as well as marriage counseling; it may convince your wife to take a second look...

Search for a local counseling resource or take a look at my site and determine if you do want to peruse with me via phone or web-cam, as a paid service.
