Identifying & Appraising Scottish Pins & Brooches: A Guide

I have found two pins in which i believe are of scotish decent. the first one is of a stag head laying on colored feathers ontop of a tuft of stag hair,also has a topaz nestled between the horns.second one is a scotish thistle laying atop colored feathers on top of a tuft of stag hair, also with a topaz between leaves of thistle.on the back of thistle is 'MIZPAH'with two hearts and an arrow going through the hearts. I am going to scotland and would like to return these to their rightful families. thank you for your time, it will be greatly appreciated. paper

Thank you for your inquiry. Unless the jewelry has a family or clan name engraved , you may have difficulty tracing the original families but my suggestion would be when you get to Scotland, visit the Museum of Scotland or one of the genealogy groups
