Identifying Antique Silver Pillbox Charm with Ship Motif - Expert Appraisal

Hi, just inherited a small looks like necklace pillbox, has top handle with loop for chain, think its silver, has basket pattern, top has inset, white (ivory looking) inset with old 8 sail ship etched in it in black, no one in family has ever seen this before, was in one of her boxes.  has mark on bottom looks like Island or large symbol, have no clue about this thing.  it is about 1 inch long, half deep and wide , very detailed. can upload pix, just cant find anything that look like it anywhere, and the only one who knew is gone. thanks
