Identifying Your Mexican Sterling Silver Ring with Eagle Mark

Question
I have a 925 sterling silver ring with three black dots (elemal or black sapphire). Ring face is about 5/8 inch long and about 1/4 inch wide. It has a marking on the bottom (outside) band that looks like a head. It could be the eagle mark with a number 2 in it. Got any ideas????

Answer
Hello Wayne and thank you for your inquiry. Your ring is Mexican sterling and the eagle mark was used as the assay mark with the number inside indicating the maker or town of the assay.  Here is a site that can give you more information:

Hope this helps and enjoy your ring !
