Identifying Makers Mark: Diamond Icon & 'D' on 14k Gold Ring

the ring mark   G'day,
    I have been looking for information and a ring and it's maker for a while now and came across a question, asked of you, which is of the same nature as my own inquiry- http://en.allexperts.com/q/Jewelry-Gems-Minerals-689/2010/2/Diamond-symbol.htm .Anyways,this ring has a makers mark and is hallmarked 14k. The mark looks like a small diamond icon with a D behind it. here are the pictures i have of the ring and mark.any info would be appreciated.Thank you.

Hi James,

An interesting makers mark but one I am not familiar with. There are thousands of makers marks in existence and to know them all is impossible. You can look them up on line or in a library. Without knowing a year or a country it might take a while to locate. Thanks for asking though and Good Luck,
