Antique Claddagh Ring with 'F': Identification & Value

Question
QUESTION: I have  a simple claddaug ring with an F in it .it has a line around the F. no stones. Could this be an antique? There are other marks also. But I cant recall them and will relate them later if you wish.

ANSWER: Hello Sandy and thank you for your inquiry. Claddaugh rings have been popular for many years so there are reproductions as well as antique rings available.  The only way to determine an antique ring is by the markings.  If you can get the other markings, we may be able to check the identification further.

QUESTION: Thank you for responding. I should have gave you all the marks in the beginning. The F has a circle around it.Underneath that is a diamond shape with looks like to me a number 2 inside it. I will make a picture. Hopefully it will be clear enough for you to see.

Answer
The "F" in a circle mark was used by Friedman Silver Co., Inc. in Brooklyn, NY. They also made silver plated and pewter items. They were primarily tableware and flatware producers but could have had a line of jewelry items. In business c. 1935. I'll keep your question active and if I find anything else, I'll let you know.  Hope this helps.
