Identifying Jewelry Makers Marks: Help with 'HA' and 14k Gold

Question
I recently purchased an emerald ring off ebay. It has five emeralds and eight diamonds and I am very pleased with it. The diamonds all tested to be genuine and the emeralds are of good quality as far as I can tell. I have worked in the jewelry business for several years, but do not know much in the way of antique or vintage pieces.
The ring is stamped with the 14k for the gold and the initials HA. I am trying to identify the maker and get an idea of dating through the maker's mark. Are you at all familiar with the HA makers mark?

Answer
Hello Candice and thank you for your inquiry. I have checked my resources and cannot locate an HA manufacturer. You may be able to find fine jewelry manufacturer marking books at your local library or in old trade magazines. Jewelers Keystone Magazine is one that may be helpful. Sometimes libraries carry past copies for resource purposes. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
