Questionhello, I have a question. for the past several months, my wife employer (she works part-time) does not give her the hours she asks for. and then i tell her to go get another job, but every time it seems to fall on deaf ears. but here recently they did it again, and now she says she wants to get another job. doesnt that mean something changed? something else going on and might be close to getting caught? I just cant see how she can change her mind so quick after months of not heeding my advice.

Maybe she's heard everything you've said, but she's being stubborn b/c she didn't want to listen to you. Even though you were right? Some ppl don't like to admit their wrong b/c it has to do with pride issues. Other ppl don't like being hounded or told what to do b/c they feel they are being told what to do in a controling manner (to them), even though it could be just someone giving their well intended advice or opinions. So they choose to ignore and do it their own way. Which is possible what your wife is doing.
Even though you were right, I wouldn't come back and say "See! I told you so! You should've listened to me when I said this to you." B/c it could just upset her and make her mad at you. Since it sounds like she wanted to do things with her job, and to handle it in her own way w/o your assistance or advise.
In due time she'll find out what she wants to do about her job, since she's the one that has to put up with it. She'll decide when she can't take it anymore, and she'll move on to another job that she'll like even better. Perhaps she was giving them the benefit of doubt to see if they would treat her better at work?
