Leg Pain During Pregnancy: Causes, Concerns & What to Expect

Hello, My aunt has 3 kids. A 9 year old, 4 year old and 3 year old. She is now pregnant again. She is about 2 months pregnant and having problems with her legs. She dont know if it is because she is gaining weight a little from not excersizing or if it is because she hasnt had a kid in 3 years. She is afraid that she might get a c section. Do you know what could possibly be wrong with her legs? She dont know if its the weight or pregnancy or possibly something else. The doctors barely listen and told her since it been so long its possible she might get a c section. The other question I have is when you get a c section can you be asleep threw it if you want too?

What exactly do you mean by problems with her legs? Is she having severe pain? Is it difficult for her to move? What symptoms is she having?

I have not heard of a doctor recommending a cesarean because a woman had 3 years between pregnancies. Considering their laissez-faire attitude towards your aunt, I would recommend that she gets a new doctor as soon as possible.

Sometimes they will put you under for a cesarean but most of the time, they will not. The preferred method is through usage of an epidural because it carries fewer risks. Unless it is absolutely necessary for the doctor to give her anesthetic, they usually will not.
