Chest & Throat Discomfort After Eating: Causes & Relief

Question
I am 27 years old, recently I have had this issue where sometimes after I eat I get this symptom where it feels like something is in my throat sometimes in my chest, normally it feels like a burp, but then nothing happens or it doesn't go away, sometimes it even causes me to vomit but still feels like something is there, not matter how many times i burp/vomit/clear my throat its always a discomfort.  Do You have any idea what this might be and what I can do to correct it.  I have tried taking Tagament HB but it doesn't seem to be helping.

Answer
Hi Dustan,
This sounds like a problem with esophageal emptying. In other words, there is spasm in the lower esophagus that traps food and won't let it pass into the stomach. That can cause pain and refer it into your throat.
Tagamet won't help this. I would see a doctor about this.
