Lower Back and Side Pain: Causes, Relief & When to Seek Urgent Care

I need help!! I have had lower left side pain and lower back pain near my kidneys for almost a week now and it is getting worse.Is this a kidney infection? I can't get into my doctor until next Friday.What shall I do until then or shall I just go to the ER? The pain is pretty intense at times..I have been drinking lots of water also to help it...I'm gong to get some Azo-Standard over the counter to take until I get into the doc.Is this safe to take? Please help me

azostandard will only help bladder pain; if your back pain is from a kidney infection, you need antibiotics; if it is a kidney stone, then you need pain medications; if it is from the muscles, it needs a different treatment.... basically, you need to have your urine checked and see a doctor.
