Nail Sculpting for Nail Biting: Will It Damage Natural Nails?
QuestionHi Megan,
I don't have extensive knowledge regarding the different techniques etc. performed by nail care salons but I would like to (I think this is what it is called) get my nails sculpted [French manicure style] as I have had the bad habit of biting my nails for a few years now and would like to get a fix for them. If I were to do that, would there be damage done to my natural nail? What would this process be professionally called(if I were to call up nail salons and request this service)? Thanks!
Sincerely,
Selena
AnswerSelena,
That is called pink and white acrylics. And Yes it does some damage to your natural nail but nothing serious and if you were to remove the nails in the future they would grow back to normal in about a month. Just make sure you go to a clean salon and have good communication. (English) so that you get exactly what you want.
Usually acrylics are great for nail bitters because you wont bite them when they are done. Just hopefully you get into the habit of not biting so when you do take off your acrylics you have great nails underneath! Good luck
