QuestionQUESTION: Hi
I have had acrylic nails for many years & just removed them. They are painful & thin. Some salons say the gel manicure will help make it strong & healthy.
Is that true?
ANSWER: Hi Farzaneh
I understand that you have taken your acrylic enhancements off and your nails are weak, thin, and painful. Someone has over stressed the nail bed. While gel manicures are a great product to enhance someone natural nails, if the natural nail is damaged in any way these will exacerbate the situation. I strongly recommend that you go see a good professional and let them help you get your nails back in shape, you need a program of hydration with a good cuticle oil and possibly a good nail strengthener. then when your nails are healthier you can have a gel manicure. Please stay away from the cheap salons as they will just make your nails worse, and do not let anyone file, drill, or do anything aggressive to the nail bed.

QUESTION: Hi Karen,
I have one more question if you can help.
Can you please give me the product name or can you recommend a good salon in Las Vegas?
AnswerHi Farzaneh
I use CND Creative Nail Design products and have for over 16 yrs, my clients love them, you can go to CND.com put in your zip code and that should pull all the salons in the area using that product. I do follow a lot of techs on Facebook from all over but I don't know where they are located from where you live. This will help you narrow it down.
Good Luck with your nails. I'm in Florida, here is my direct email is you have anymore questions
