Gel Polish for Business: Brand Recommendations & Addressing Thick Toe Skin

I have 2 Xtion........1: I want to implement gel polish into my business and I like to use all top products....which brand would you suggest?? I dont find any at Peels or State (our local suppliers).. And No. 2:  I get alot of elderly clients, alot have this skin (maybe fungus) that grows under the toe nail.....once I cut it and it bled...how can I scale it back so does not stick out past nail...and what is it??  Could I use callous remover???

Hello, Gel polish is great to add to your list of services. I love IBD or naillites.IBD makes a gel that can be soaked off too so you do not have to file!

As for your second question I am a little surprised. If you do not know what your cutting at you should not be cutting it. If it is fungus state boards mandate you not work on the client as this is contagious. I am not sure to what your referring or what it looks like but it sounds to me you might have cut the nail bed which is the connective tissue under the nail plate also known as the quick.This can cause bleeding and should avoid being cut.If your cutting the nail short enough to where this is hanging out your cutting too short. I would not recommend a callous remover. They are pretty abrasive and are not meant for this but for callous feet. Use the proper nail file.

Please, call your local podiatrist office and ask them when in doubt they will be more than happy to assist you in your quest for further diagnosis. For now please avoid cutting or working on things you do not know. This can cause complications for your clients and put you both at serious risk. Thanks
