Big Toe Nail Issues: Long-Term Acrylic Use & Nail Growth

Question
I have a question regarding my big toe nails on my feet, seems like its been about 3 or 4 years since I have had a natural toe nail for either big toe, even when I was little I only had maybe half the size of a normal toe nail, my cousin applied acrylic nails to my big toes about that time, and they made my toes really sore, but I soon adjusted to them as they became more comfortable! While they were on I really enjoyed my feet, when they came off I had the ugly toenail I had before that I didn't like, so I started applying glue on nails which pretty much destroyed my natural nail, I'm pretty sure I have a nail bed that grows back which is a thin layer of skin seems like, but I can never get the actual nail to grow...am I being to impatient with the growing process or is there any thing I can do to help speed up the growth process!? How about gel/acrylic nails? Can I have them applied even though I really don't have a nail?

Thanks any good advice will help

Answer
Hello,

there is actually nothing you can do to speed up the growing progress. It takes almost six months in order to get a full growth of a nail. But I strongly advise you to visit a dermatologist for all the questions that you have.

Hope I helped.
