Removing CZ Stamping from 14K White Gold Engagement Ring
QuestionI have an engagment ring that is Cubic Zirconia. We couldn't afford real diamonds when we got engaged. I love the ring but it is stamped with CZ and China on the inside of the band. I am wiery about taking it off because I'm afraid someone will see the stamping. Is there anyway to cover it with gold or any way to get rid of it. The band is 14K white gold. Thanks
AnswerGreetings,
Yes the stamp can be removed easily by filing it away and then re-polishing the band interior.
If the stone was harder - like Diamond or sapphire - then you could fill the stamping with solder and re-polish the band. In fact you could do this with your ring, however the stone would have to be first removed and then re-set.
Hope that helps.
Cheers and Good Luck, P
