Identifying a Vintage Wedding Band: Help with 'RB' Markings
QuestionI was recently given my Great, Great Aunt's wedding band. I am curious about the identity of the jeweler. The ring has my Aunt and Uncle's initials as well as their wedding date 06/24/14. The ring also has the letters RB and 18 KT. I am wondering who RB is? I have searced the internet and I can not find another ring like it. Any info you can give will be greatly appreciated!
AnswerHello Karen and thank you for your inquiry. Your RB is probably the manufacturer and could be R.B. & Co. from Attleboro, Mass. They produced a general line of ladies jewelry from approx 1893. The owners were H.T. Regnell and I.A. Bigney and C. O. Sweet. They were sold later in the early 1900's to Allison Mfg. Company. They also used the name Diamonette for their diamond jewelry. This is the only manufacturer I could find that used that logo. Hope this helps and enjoy your ring !
