My husband was given a gold watch chain by his grandfather, we think its dated to around WW1 era.
It has 9 375 on every link could you give me a rough valuation for the insuance please

Hello Wendy and thank you for your inquiry. I believe the 9 stands for 9K or "375" which is 37.50% gold and 62.50% other metal. A valuation would have to be determined by the weight of the gold and the market value on the evaluation day. The gold market fluctuates from day to day. My advise is to have your chain evaluated by an estate jewelry appraiser or gemologist.
