Identifying a Vintage Genova Watch with Gold and Diamond Accents

I have what looks like a gold watch stamped Italy but no other marks. the bezel looks to have small diamond and the stem to set the time looks to have a small sapphire. It is a woman's watch, old. The name on the watch is Genova, I was wondering if you can possibly tell me anything about the name and if this could be a gold watch. I put a magnet to it and it did not stick to it.

Hello Roseann and thank you for your inquiry. I'm not sure if you mean Genova or Geneva. Geneva Watch Company is large watchmaker group that produces contemporary time pieces, most Swiss. Most gold watches are marked on the back of the case.  In order to determine the gold content and stone authenticity it would need to be tested by a jeweler or other professional with the proper tools. There is a Genova watch made by Cerruiti but I've only been able to locate the larger watches for men.
