Identifying & Repairing Your Vintage Waltham Pocket Watch

I have an old Waltham pocket watch from my mother that I think is gold plated.  Inside back cover says A.W.W.Co. and also B&B Royal 20 years 6797649.  I just wondered what year it was made and if if is worth fixing.  The hour hand is broken off and it doesn't work.  Thanks!

of course its worth fixing, it was your Mothers!! it doesnt matter how much the dollar value is.....Im not that familiar with pocket watches ans I am a diamond expert and do not engage in watches of any kind, im sorry. If you can remove the movement, and if the watch was ever worked on by a watchmaker, the dates and years should be engraved on the inside of the case where the movement sits....hope this helps
