Is Your 14k Gold Chain Marked 1913 Worth Its Weight?

Hi Thomas I have a gold chain marked 14k, 1913,does it mean the chain is from that year,if so do you think it has any value?

Kinita, prior to 1900 it would be rare to see karat marks. Terms like "solid gold" were not uncommon. I seriously doubt the 1913 is a date and recommend that a reputable jeweler should see the chain and test the metal if there appears any reason to doubt the reliability of the 14k mark.

If gold, yes, the chain certainly has value. How much value? From here in my location and the chain in your, there is not a way to speculate whatsoever on value.
