Repairing a Loose Pearl Ring: Adding Prongs to 14k White Gold

Hello. I have a pearl engagement ring that is set only by a post drilled through the bottom of the pearl. The pearl has fallen out before and is loose again. I was wondering if it is possible to add prongs to my existing ring to hold my pearl better. The ring itself is 14k white gold. Thank you!

Hi Sarah,
This is not really my area , but Im most happy to help you as we have a lot of repairs for pearls .If the ring is 14k white gold  it should be no problem to add some claws. If it werer Platinum , it would be a problem . It may be cheaper to have a new ring that is pre set up than to do the extra work . I would suggest to price both jobs .
