Identifying and Valuing a Vintage 14K Finnish Question Clasp Necklace

Question

clasp
6 Hallmarks indicate Helsinki, Finland, 14K, 1969. One more mark seems to be a W in a box.  45 links, 15.75 in.long + 2 earrings, 2 links of 5/8 in. drop. Who is the manufacturer?  Is this valuable enough to try to sell to a jeweler, and if so what type of jeweler?  I live in a small town in Kentucky without many good stores.  Thank you.

Answer
Hello Diane and thank you for your inquiry.  I have listed below a site that has a good listing of Finnish markings and manufacturers. If your item is gold you should have it appraised. There are sites online that will give you a value if you provide good pictures and description to them. They usually have a small fee. One site is "What's it worth to you?" at http://whatsitworthtoyou.com/

You might also want to check one of the online auctions for items similar to yours for current market values - ebay.com is a good place to start. Use their search to find items similar to your bracelet.  Here is the site for mark search.  Just click on or copy and paste the below url into your browser address field and hit enter:

Hope this helps and good luck.  Enjoy your bracelet
