Understanding 14K Gold & Manufacturing Stamps (EV2)

Do you know what 14k ev2 means.  This is stamped on a diamond and emerald ring.

Brenda, the only part of the stampings for which I can provide help is the 14k, which is a legal marking for 14 karat gold used to make the ring.  The ev2 is some sort of mark from the manufacturer, whether this is the actual maker's mark or another designation placed in the ring by the maker, having nothing to do with the quality of the metal.
