Post-Miscarriage Period: How Long to Expect Your Period?

i'm 26yrs old, have 1 child 2 yrs old. lmp 5 july 2005.
how long after having a miscarriage should my periods start. i miscarried 16 sept 05 at 10wks pregnant. everything went as it should although blood counts did slow down over the last couple of weeks. my last test showed my counts at 54 which was nearly 2 weeks ago. my period hasn't yet arrived and i just wondered if this was normal.

Usually, after a miscarriage (or a pregnancy of any type) you will restart your normal periods within around 8-10 weeks after the incident. If you miscarried on September 16, you should return to regular periods by the end of November. If you don't, ask your doctor to induce a period for you using Provera 10mg twice a day for five days.
