Ovulation After Miscarriage: What You Need to Know

Question
My question is, I had a miscarriage about 2 weeks ago, my doctor said we could start trying right away, my question is do you ovulate after a miscarriage? Do I have to wait for my cycle to come before I ovulate? And last after a miscarrige if I do not start my cycle by day 32, should I take Provera to get a jump start on my cycle or should I just wait for it to come on it's on? My age 33, 2 children and miscarried 2 weeks ago.
Thank You

Answer
Usually, you will ovulate around two weeks after a miscarriage. We usually suggest that you wait until you get a normal period (after a miscarriage) so tht we can "date" the new pregnancy. Ovulation can occur before you get your next period, though. If you do not get your period within 6 weeks from the miscarriage, you can ask your doctor to induce your period for you with Provera.
