QuestionMy wife is o- blood type and they are going to start rozephen shots just incase the baby is + blood type and the blood work came back with higher d antibodys then first time so what would cause that they said it could cause problems if it contiunes to rise
AnswerHi Ricky,
Your question is a little confusing to me. I wanted to try and understand it.
Antibodies are what are contained in the immune system, to fight virus's, and other infections.
D Antibodies, are often refered to Hepatitis D. If your wife is a carrier, then there will be concern, about the virus traveling to the baby.
Rozephin shots, are usually given to fight infection. Now how the blood type ties in here, I dont know, and why this shot is given to her in the event of an RH factor baby, also baffles me.
If you could just clarify your situation for me, it would be of great help. I didnt not want to pass your question, I rarely ever do that. I just wanted to be clear on a few things, before I answer it.
Looking forward to hearing back from you :)
