Positive Pregnancy Test: When to See a Doctor?

Thank you for your reply to my previous query. As you suggested i waited for 12 days and did the pregnancy at home and the result was positive.

Should we visit a doctor immediately for further treatment or after a month so that she can perform ultrasound.

Many thanks to All experts and all its volunteers for the valuable service to humanity.

Coming to my question. My wife was pregnant but after the first week itself unfortunately there was a miss carriage. The doctor said that the pregnancy was very week.

My wife missed the periods. Its almost 8 days now and the bleeding didnt start, But she feels some back pain. is this back pain some sign / indication that the bleeding will start. Can you pls suggest when to do pregnancy test?

I am not sure I understood your question but it seems that your wife is pregnant again. Pregnancy test is usually accurate 2 weeks after the missed period. Meanwhile, you should avoid sexual relation with your wife and advise her to get bed rest till the result of the pregnancy test appears.

I hope you are fine. I have a follow up question to my previous query. I have consulted the doctor and she confirmed that my wife is 2 months pregnant. In your previous answer you advised me to avoid any sexual relationship with my wife...... I have a question, how long should i avoid it?

Dear Raheem

Back pain can be either a sign of coming menstruation or threatened miscarriage. Therefore, my advice is to get bed rest, no sex, no household activities or excercies. This will help her if she is in an early pregnancy.

Pregnancy test can be done after 5-7 days.
