Spotting in Early Pregnancy: Low-Lying Placenta & Fibroid - Doctor's Advice

Hi dear dr
I am 26 years old and in 16 weeks of pregnancy. I have had spotting from the first days of my pregnancy which last for 10 weeks and stoped and again begins. my doctor said that I have low lying placenta and fibroid which is growing. I see spotting twice a week. Should I have a bed rest?
I am a clerk and should work 8 hours a day

If you are only spotting twice a week, I would say, no you do not need to be on bedrest. If however, your bleeding increases, you should go to the hospital and you may be put on bed rest after that. A low-lying placenta usually will move out of the way as your uterus grows and stretches. If you feel cramping, you should call your doctor because he or she might want to place you on bedrest for a while. I hope this has helped you. Good luck!
