Unexpected Positive Pregnancy Test After Abortion: What Could It Mean?

I had a medical abortion almost 4 weeks ago after the 4 pills i passed a lil white sac then after i had bleeding went back for the chekup after two weeks n they said everything look fine bu the ultrasound i was no longer pregnate but today almost 4 weeks after that day i took a pregnacy test an it shows positive is that normal or is there something wrong (i was betwen 6-8 weeks pregnate) all does 4 weeks i have been fine no nausea or vomiting untill today that i took the test i only had a lil nausea could i still be pregnate???  :(

It can take 4 weeks for the hormone level to go back to normal.  If you are using the EPT test then it is positive at very low hormone levels.  You can call the facility and get a follow-up.  If you are on an oral contraceptive that can cause nausea.  Also, you could be pregnant again if you have had unprotected intercourse.  You can become fertile as early as 7 days after the medical abortion.
