Persistent Bleeding & Positive Pregnancy Tests After Medical Abortion: What Could It Mean?

I had a medical abortion 5 weeks ago at 7 weeks pregnant, i know the abortion worked as i lost lots of big clots of tissue.I have done 2 pregnancy tests 3 weeks after the abortion and they came back positive, im still bleeding very lightly and have done another test this week which again is positive.I did have a scan a few weeks ago at the clinic which the dr confirmed there is no pregnancy there and all looks normal, so why am i still bleeding and getting a positive pregnancy test?I feel so emotional all the time

How are you doing now? I hope all is better. Sometimes a pregnancy test will show up still positive but you aren't really pregnant. Perhaps you can have another doctor's opinion.
