Postpartum Bleeding After C-Section: Is It Normal?

i am 7 weeks after giving birth to my son via c-section, i was bleeding for 5 weeks after until it finally changed to the white/yellow discharge, but now i am bleeding red blood again, i havent any cramps but my wound has been infected since the surgery and i also was found to ave gbs after it aswell, i was wondering if this is my period starting or signs of yet another infection, appreciate the help ty

It is possible that your period has started as in about 40% of women period resumes 6 weeks after delivery. However because of your infection history, I would go for a transvaginal ultrasound scan to exclude the presence of any remnants of conception as this also can be a cause of bleeding.
