QuestionHi Rebecca,
I am a nail tech from australia and I have recently had a new client who wanted a full set of acrylic. I put them on her on monday and by thursday they were lifting around the cuticle. I fixed them for free and reminded her to wear gloves etc... (I didn't get any acrylic on her cuticles, I used all of my usual primers etc) and then today (saturday) she rings me at 7am demanding to fix them again as they had all lifted up (tips still intact). I made an appointment for her and when she came in it looked as though she had been picking at them.
This particular client is 35 and has had a heart attack about 3 months ago and just this week has had several abnormal heart problems (having to call the ambulance to administer her meds) she has been given valium and several other calming medicines and some antibiotics as well. She has made it clear to me that she hasn't done anything wrong and she has had nails on for 17 years.
I have tried to suggest that maybe its her medication that is effecting the primers or even the acrylic and she has told me that it is a "cop out" and not good enought response from me.
She is turning out to be a real problem... any suggestions? I really would like to turn her away, but in a nice way. I have only met this woman 6 days ago and I have already had to repair her nails 3 times now.
Any help would be great.

P.S. Did you ask her to sign a consultation form or nail condition analysis.?? If not I have all these forms for skin nails, enhancements, tx, etc. for sale at $19.99 ea. Cdn funds.

The forms are legal and have been notarized by an attorney and are written for world wide use. They are a must when dealing with any client, there are so many clients whom do not tell you every thing or do not know or forget and this can lead to big trouble if a client takes reaction or something worse. They can easily sue you... ALWAYS be sure you get an consult done and a nail pre-analysis and write down your treatment on their file, over yourself Anita, everything these days, is so money related, there has been many law suits in different salon's, spa's in the US that will tell you the same as they have been through the same.

I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOUR HAVING THESE FORMS FOR YOUR CLIENTS, TODAY IS SUCH A MONEY RACKET, EVERYONE IS TAKING EVERYONE TO COURT OVER MONETARY ISSUES AND YES PERSONAL SERVICES, ANYTHING TO GET MONEY OUT OF SOMEONE, ITS SICKENING ACTUALLY.... AND WE MIGHT NOT HEAR ABOUT IT IN OUR OWN LITTLE TOWN'S, REGIONS, BUT IF YOU DO A SEARCH, YOU WILL SEE JUST HOW OFTEN IT DOES OCCUE, TOO OFTEN.
