French Acrylic vs. Powder Dip: Understanding the Differences & Costs

Question
Hi,
What is the difference between a "permanant french" and something called "white pink powder"? A full set of perm french is $50 whereas the white pink powder is $70. Also what is the difference between a full set of french acrylics and a full set of french overlays?

Thanks in advance,
Mercedes!

Answer
I'm going to give my best guess here, because in my book, three of the four of these terms mean exactly the same thing (permanent french IS created with white and pink powder, for example) But obviously this particular menu is giving them each separate definitions.  So, (and I stress, this is only my guess):

Permanent French: The set of nails is created with white tips and a clear overlay.

White Pink Powder: the set is created with white powder for the french tip, and pink powder for the nail bed.  This can take more time and skill, and so would cost more.

Full set French acrylics vs. full set french overlays: the first probably includes extensions (with tips or sculpts, giving extra length), and the second might be just overlaying the natural nail, with no extensions.

I hope this helps! Feel free to follow up if you need to.
