IBD Pink & White Manicure Review: Tips & Techniques

Question
QUESTION: Hello, I just got done with training, and I am a licensed nail technician. I wanted to try the IBD gels, and have been working with them for a few weeks. I did some pink & white manicures (Natural Nail Overlay's) with the French xtreme IBD Gels. I did the pink first and added the white with a not so perfect smile line ( I was not able to get a crisp smile line), cured one finger after the other. It just takes me so much time, they look beautiful, but is there an easier way to do these pink&whites with the IBD gels? I have a lot of French gels and overlay gels from different companies, but found that the IBD gels work great, They stay put, hardly don't lift. Seems like everybody that comes to me wants a pink&white done, and I am taking the longest time filing the french white off when doing refills. Can you help me? I am stationed with the US military overseas (Germany) and have no access to any instructional IBD classes. Thank You So Much!
ANSWER: Dear Carina,

I have written down the correct procedure for IBD gel and I hope this will be helpful. In case you still encounter problems let me know so we can search further for the solution:
1. Prep the nail
2. Bonder
3. Very thin layer of pink ( like nail Polish)
4. Xtreme white smile line and quick into the light ( 1 nail at the time)
5. Clear on top to make a perfect shape

The smile line must be crispy like this and the refill will not take too much time

QUESTION: Thanks, I will give it a try. I already thought about the thin layer of pink, but never done it. I always thought I had to fill in the rest of the nail bed with pink, to create the arch/stress-area. Since the Xtreme white is like a builder, do you apply with a marbelizing tool or brush? I have tried both, but seem to handle the marbelizing better, although it does get a little chunky. The brush leaves strokes/shadows, and applying twice takes so much time. I am using the NSI Primer with the IBD Gel and the IBD Dehydrator. That works so great it's unbelievable. But, I've noticed that young women (16-25) IBD is just perfect, for the "older" Generation IBD seem to sometimes don't work. I use NAILMAX Products for them, and they last good. Is that strange or do you think the younger women just handle their nails more careful? I am 41 years old, always been a "lifter" and since I use a NAILMAX Bondinggel under the IBD products, my nails are lasting forever.
I am looking for a distributer of the IBD Gels. I am stationed with the US military overseas (germany). I have an APO AE address. Could I buy IBD products from you? Would you send them to me?
Thanks so much for your time! Greetings to You and your staff!

Answer
Hi Carina,

For the builder I use a brush but if the marbelizer works better for you go for it.
