QuestionI just got the permanent french manicure. I had the regular acrylics for about 1 1/2 years and since I only get the french I decided I would go for the permanent. After I left the nail salon, I noticed the pink part is not a flat pink color. I was under the impression that the pink color of the acrylic would be similar to the white. You are able to see my natural nail under the acrylic. Will the pink acrylic will get darker as I get my nails filled? Is there any way to make it darker? I do not want my natural nail beds to be visible under the acrylic. Does the pink and white look awkword when they are first put on? Please tell me as much as you can. I am VERY particular about my nails and am freakin' out. Please help!
AnswerDear Rebecca,
Pink and whites will vary upon the products/brands used by the technician AND his or her own level of skill. Some pinks are very opaque and you will not see your own nail, some are sheer and add only a tint.
You will need to speak to your technician about these concerns and find out whether or not his/her product/brand has the shade of pink that you want.
There is also what is known as 'CBM' which means a custom blended manicure. This is when the technician mixes shades of pink etc, to make a perfect pink that matches the skin tone of the client, but is opaque and not sheer.
Without knowing the brand or techniques and specific products that your tecnician is using, I'm unable to answer further. I'm sorry.
Please feel free to contact me again.
best regards
