Achieving Pink Acrylic Nails: A Customer Review

Question
I finally found a nail technician I like because he shapes my nails the way I really like; he knows I like more white then little; and I could even go 3 weeks before they need done again.  My only problem is even though he uses pink acrylic, they still look clear when he is finished with just a hint of pink.  He also does not put gel over them, but uses a pink buffing cream.  I really want them pinker and when I was there the last time, I told him they looked clear to me and could I have them pinker.  I am wondering if he puts a layer of gel over them, does this help make them look pinker. Please tell me what I should be asking him to do for me to be satisfied with the more pink.

Answer
Powders come in all kinds of shades and even solid colors. You're best bet is to see if you can talk  him into picking up a pinker powder. A gel topcoat won't add color to the acrylic; even if he uses a pink gel over your nails it will only add a hint of pink and if he uses a very pink gel it will make the white acrylic look pink too.
