What is Pink & White Powder Nail Technique? | DIY Guide

I get my nails done by and Asian man.  I asked him what he puts on my nails and he answered pink and white powder.  It's not acrylic and it's not gels.  He also uses this liquid for putting on the white and pink powder, he puts it over my nails when he is done putting on the pink and white powder before he puts on a to coat.  He also uses it as a glue for putting on tops.  I was wondering what product he uses so I can do my own nails.  He takes off all the labels.  I am a licensed manicurist since 1997, but haven't worked in a shop.

Sweetie he is using liquid and powder acrylic.  If he is using powder and a liquid, it's the same old boring thing we all trained to use in beauty school.  UV Gel is always cured under a light, fabric wraps always use fabric and resin/glue in 3 layers.  And they are all in the same chemical family: ACRYLIC.  He may also be required by state law to have his containers clearly labeled with the contents of them, and more likely than not he is using MMA illegally manufactured and sold off the back of trucks black market.

Instead of trying to use a product you can't learn anything about, I suggest calling your local beauty supply house and going to the next trade show.  Go check out every booth, see every product, and then decide which LEGAL product you would like to use yourself. :)
