QuestionHey
My nails are natural and very long, I've noticed that whenever they get wet the tips go totally see through in places and stay white in others, i have heard this is normal mind, but even when they haven't been in contact with water for a ages they still remain see through in some places, also the bottom (the newest part of the tip) on some nails will permanently seem to not be as white as the ends.
is there ANYTHING i can use to stop this??
i do use rimmels cuticle oil, and always have clear nail varnish on. Thanks, hope that makes sense.
AnswerThe see through parts are just thin, non-non living keratin in the free edge of your nails. There is nothing you can do about it, aside from using nail strengtheners that can make them brittle if your nails are already healthy.
Ditch the rimmel oil, it's just sitting on top of your skin :) Go pick up Solar Oil by CND, and a bottle of their Toughen Up for a clear gloss, topped off with Super Shiney.
And if you want them to LOOK natural, try an American manicure. CND Bisou de Lulu enamel on the tip of your nails french-style, with a clear coat of enamel on top :)
