Porcelain Nails: What They Are, Acrylic vs. Porcelain & Care

My girldfriend has porcelain nails and I have never heard of that before.  What is the difference between that and Acrylic, and how do you care for Porcelain nails.  Are they better than acrylic?

I just wanted to do a follow up to your question. I reported the salon to the board in Georgia. They come back saying, there is no such salon in Dalton Georgia. I got them the address and it will most likely take time to set up an inspector.

This leads to another problem the nail industry faces. What are referred to as Gypsy Salons, where they open up at some random town, no license no registration. Once they get caught or get heat from another salon or person, they just pack up and leave. On to the next town!

I am still uncertain this is that type of salon, but they aren't Registered, and they are up and running.

I strongly urge you or anyone you know to report a salon, that doesn't seem right to you.
