Identifying a Vintage Ring: Seeking Help to Find a Replacement

Question
I am trying to locate a certain type of ring and do not know the origin or name. This ring was purchase in the 1960's as a gift for my mother from her father. The ring was recently lost. It was a ring that has a flat top which was silver while the band portion was gold. On the flat top there was a raised design in the silver it also had three small diamonds in a row in the middle of the flat top with the design. I would really like to find a replacement ring for her for Christmas and would appreciate any help in locating one similar.

Answer
Hello Meghann and thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with a ring with this description. The only advice I can give you is to check with various fine jewelry ring sites for a similar ring. If you had a picture of the ring it would make your search a lot easier. Is there any manufacture name or writing inside the ring ? Would the designation of the 3 stones mean anything ? i.e. 3 daughters, 3 sisters, etc. Could be a Mother's ring if there were 3 children. Other than that, it would be difficult to locate an exact replica except by browsing some of the online sites - or if you have a local jeweler you might check with them. Could be a standard design. Good luck !
