Custom Ring Copies & Legal Implications: What Jewelers Need to Know

Can jewelers make an exact copy a custom ring with a mark?  If yes, can the law enforcement agency find the jeweler who made the copy if a police report was made?  Also, isn't there a copyright law that prevents jewelers from making a copy?

The answer to your questions is yes and copyright laws are a serious offense especialy when it involves large sums of money.

Check your local, state and federal laws for compliance. You may also report violations to the US Patent and copyright office in Washington , DC
