Identifying Italian Trademark: Understanding the 'y' Symbol

Hello, Bill & Sally,  Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.  I have a 925 Sterling Italy Heart Necklace with 4 rose zircon stones, with a trademark(?) with a lower case "y" with a circle around it.  Could you please tell me what the "y" stands for?  I would appreciate any help you could offer.

Hello Marci and thank you for your inquiry. I have not been able to locate this mark in my resources - most of mine are American manufacturers. There is a book on European jewelry hallmarks that you might find in your local library or use your browser search for "Italy jewelry hallmarks". I'll continue to check with some of my more expert European jewelry friends and if I find the mark, I'll be sure to let you know. Sorry I couldn't be of more help at this time and good luck !
