Oneida Spoon Ring with Floral 'H': History & Value
QuestionI have a silver spoon ring which has the engraving "WMA Rogers Oneida LTD" on the inside of it, but on the top of the ring there is what appears to be a flower (or it kinda looks more like a four leaf clover) with the letter "H" ingraved on each petal. Is there some significance to this adn is this ring worth anything?
AnswerHello cherish and thank you for your inquiry. Spoon rings have been quite popular over the years and people purchased them to match their flatware and sterling silver tea sets. William A. Rogers/Oneida LTD was one of the manufacturing companies. The design is one of their patterns and if you check one of the pattern replacement companies such as "replacements.com" you will probably find the pattern name. The "H" on the petals could be a monogram or part of the pattern id. These rings were done in both sterling and silverplate. Depending on which you have the value could be from $25 - $50. Enjoy your ring !
