Rogers Oneida Spoon Rings: History, Value & Identification
Questioni would like to know about this spoon ring that i bought at an antique mall. on the inside of the band it says ROGERS ONEIDA LTD.
AnswerHello Kierstyn and thank you for your inquiry. Spoon rings were originally made by silver flatware manufacturers to match their dinnerware patterns. Rogers Oneida was one of the largest firms.Sometimes they were given as bonus gifts along with the purchase of a set of flatware. Rogers Oneida were mostly silverplate. You could probably match up the pattern with one of their designs. Many of these are vintage but there is a "revival" of them being made today by sklled artisans in sterling as well as silverplate.
