Identifying a 10kt Gold Ring with an 'AVG' Design - Jewelry Appraisal
QuestionI found a ring and I'd really like to know what kind it is. It has a gold band with "10kt" stamped inside it. The top has sort of an oval ring on it. Inside the oval is something that looks like an "A" without the line in the middle. Where the "A" ends is something shaped like a "V" and in the middle where the "A" line should be is a small "G." Under these what looks like letters is a stone resembling a ruby but looks fake. Now to one side of the ring has a bell (on the side of the oval) and to the other side is an arrow? pointing down.
AnswerHi Sarah,
I am not familiar with what you have described and am not an expert regarding makers or hallmarks. I have answered a number of questions regarding makers marks and hallmarks in the past and provided links that show images of many of these identifying marks.
If you review my other answers you will find all of the links I have provided.
Additionally, if you can provide an image of the ring you described, showing all of the listed details, I might be able to offer further assistance.
