Decoding Gold Hallmarks: Understanding 750 & Star Symbols

Hi,
I've got a yellow gold, emerald ring with the following hallmark stamped into it: 750 star symbol 668.  It may have been purchased in Saudi Arabia.  Is the ring 18K gold?  What information can you give me about it.

Hello Theresa and thank you for your inquiry. 750 is the alternative 18K gold mark for the US and Italy and also used by other countries as a standard.
